When it comes to design Google is clearly not the best in the game. In fact, I think it’s safe to say they are among the worst. The Google Pixel 3XL released last year can back up this statement. We all can agree now Google seems to not even trying anymore or they just don’t care at all.
With the Giant Search Engine company ready to launch its new Pixel phones in the next few months, leaks are starting to emerge here and there on the web. And they’re not pretty, typical Pixel phones.
The well-known leaker, OnLeaks shared multiple phone renders of what is to believe to be the next Google Pixel 4 XL.
As you can see in the render above, the huge notch found in the Pixel 3 XL is non-existent in exchange with a thick top bezel. A slightly thinner one can be found at the bottom. According to multiple rumors, Google is expected to drop the front firing speakers to make space for face recognition technology. In addition, there are two front-facing cameras and two other small unknown sensors.
The backside of the render shows a gigantic square camera bump with an LED flash and three sensors, which two of them are cameras. There’s no sign of life of a fingerprint reader anywhere on the renders, which means Google is either going in-display fingerprint sensor or ditch it altogether in favor of 3-D facial recognition.
Per OnLeaks the Pixel 4 XL will have a 6.25-inch display and measure 160.4 x 75.2 x 8.2mm. To put that into context, the Pixel 4 XL will be bigger than the Galaxy S10+ but with a smaller display. The bezels occupy a nice piece of real estate this year.

In terms of specs, we don’t have any information yet. The Pixel 4 XL will most likely run the latest Qualcomm SoC. Hopefully, Google can boost up the RAM this year, which was one of the critiques of the Pixel 3. Let’s hope 6GB of RAM.
The takeaway from this leak:
Dual-lens rear camera system
No rear fingerprint scanner
Asymmetric thick bezels
