How to Save Twitter Videos (2 Quick Ways!)

Have you ever stumbled upon a viral video on Twitter and wished you could save it? Yes, you have, and we all have. In this article, you’ll learn how to save Twitter videos fast on your smartphone or computer.

We’ll be using two different methods to save videos from Twitter. Feel free to use the one that’s more convenient for you. Let’s get started.

How to Download Twitter Videos on iPhone

Step 1: Head to the AppStore and download the MyMedia app. It’s a free ad-supported app, but you can buy the premium version if you don’t want to see ads.

It requires iOS 9 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. For the sake of this tutorial, we’ll be using an iPhone, specifically an iPhone X.

Step 2: Open your Twitter account and find the tweet with the embedded video you want to download. Tap on the share icon, select “Share Tweet via …”, then tap “Copy Link to Tweet.”

Step 3: Open the MyMedia app on your iPhone. At the bottom, tap on the “Browser” tab in your screen’s left-hand side bottom corner.

Use the built-in web browser in the app to go to one of the online video downloader links provided above. We’ll be using Twitter Video Downloader.

Step 4: Paste the link you just copied from the tweet in the input URL box and hit the download button.

Step 5: Once you downloaded the video, you’ll have three options to save it in different resolutions. Feel free to choose the one of choice. Tap on “Download Video” and select “Download the file.” You’ll have the chance to choose a name for your file.

Step 6: You can see the video downloading depending on your internet connection. After the video is downloaded, hit the “back” button on the upper right-hand side of the screen, then tap on the “Media” tab at the bottom to see your downloaded video.

Tap on it, and a tab with multiple menus will show up. You can save the video to the Camera Roll, play it within the app, etc. It’s up to you.

Step 1: Open the Play Store on your android phone and download “Download Twitter Videos” 

Step 2: Once you have it installed, find the tweet, which contains the video you want to download. Tap the drop-down arrow at the top right-hand side of the tweet and tap on “Copy link to Tweet.”

Step 3: Now, with the link copied, go to the app, paste the tweet URL, and hit the download icon to start downloading the video. You’ll have three options to save the video with the resolution that’s best for you.

How to Download Twitter Videos on a Computer

If you are on a desktop or laptop, you will use one of the online video downloaders mentioned above.

They both work the same, feel free to pick one of your choices. For the sake of this tutorial, we’ll be using Twitter Video Downloader.

It’s pretty simple. All you need to do is find the tweet URL, which can be obtained by clicking on the drop-down arrow on the top-right of the tweet, then clicking on “Copy link to Tweet.” 

Once the link is copied into the clipboard, paste it into the input URL box and hit download. The video will be saved in MP4 format, with three different resolutions to choose from.
