Dual SIM iPhones are great until the “Last Line No Longer Available” error message appears on the screen while you’re making a call.

This article explains what might cause your iPhone to display this error, and how to fix it so you can make calls without any problem.

Why Does My iPhone Say “Last Line No Longer Available”

Your may receive the Last line No Longer Available error message on your iPhone due to iOS bugs when using e-SIM on your device.

Moreover, most users encounter the error when they try to call back or redial a contact from their recent calls list.

Although you can still call your contact using the other SIM card, it is irritating to encounter the Last Line No Longer Available” for several reasons.

First, you would like to use the default SIM card. Second, you might not want to contact the caller using another line.

For example, you wouldn’t like your clients to have your private number, which you use to call your family and friends.

Luckily, there are several proven fixes that you can implement to correct the problem. Here’s what you should do right now to fix “Last Line No Longer Available” on your iPhone.

How to Fix “Last Line No Longer Available” on iPhone

If your iPhone displays the “Last Line No Longer Available” message when you try to make a call, you need to clear the Recent Call logs.

Open the “Phone” app and tap the “Recents” tab. Next, select the “Edit” button in the top-right corner of the screen. Select “Clear” followed by “Clear All Recents” to confirm your action.

1. Restart Your iPhone

Let’s start with the simplest solution. Many errors are automatically fixed when the iOS 15 device reboots, including the Last Line No Longer Available” error.

Hence, testing complicated methods before restarting your iPhone is not a good idea. This step-by-step guide will show you how to restart your iPhone, regardless of the model.

2. Activate Airplane Mode

The second method which preserves all the information on your phone is turning on the Airplane mode and switching it off again.

Once you’ve turned off Automatic Network Selection, pick the network you want to use.

8. Reset Network Settings

Switching airplane mode on and off should reset your network settings to your last preference.

However, using this method will reset the network settings back to their initial status, and operator configurations will apply.

  1. Thanks for the really detailed, clear explanation of how to fix the “last-line-no-longer-available” issue. It’s maddening to try fixing your own electronics issues when so many “how-to” articles assume everyone understands techno jargon, or provide skimpy, basically useless explanations.
