Amazon Prime comes with many benefits that most people that shop online will enjoy taking advantage of. In fact, there are currently more than 200 million subscribers around the globe, and more than 51% of U.S households have a membership.
If you’ve signed up for Amazon Prime just to take advantage of Amazon Prime Day and were wondering how to cancel your Amazon Prime membership, this guide is for you.
Keep in mind that if you’ve never used any of your benefits you’re eligible for a full refund that should be processed within 3-5 business days.
In case you’ve used part of their services like placing an order with Prime shipping, you could be eligible for a partial refund.
Step-by-Step Guide to Cancel Amazon Prime
Step 1 – To cancel your Prime subscription, sign in to your Amazon account and click on Account & Lists then select Your Prime Membership from the dropdown menu.

Step 2 – Once you’re there, you’ll see “End Membership and Benefits” on the left-hand side of the page. Click on it to end your membership.
A prompt will shows up asking if you really want to cancel your membership and warning you about all the benefits you’ll lose. You’ll also have options to set a reminder to cancel at a later date.

Step 3 – Just click on the End My Benefits button if you’re sure that’s what you want. Amazon one more time will try to change your mind by offering to switch to a monthly payment, which would be a bad idea because you’ll end up paying more at the end of the year.

Step 4 – Click on the Continue to Cancel button to ditch the service and be free from Amazon Prime. Of course, they will be happy to have you back if you ever change your mind.
