Apple is gearing up to launch a new series of iMacs, featuring the advanced M6 chip, before the year ends. This forthcoming model will replace the current M4-powered 24-inch iMac, which debuted in October 2024.

In addition to the upgraded processor, Apple plans to introduce new color options, although specific hues remain undisclosed. The current iMac lineup offers seven colors: green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver.

While the arrival of the M6 iMac promises enhanced performance, Apple does not plan to make significant design changes to the device.

The company’s move to add new color options aims to refresh the aesthetic appeal without altering the iMac’s overall design.

This aligns with Apple’s strategy to update internal components while maintaining a consistent external look.

Although the updated iMac will stick to its 24-inch size, Apple is reportedly working on a model with an OLED display.

The OLED iMac won’t arrive for several years while Apple finishes development, but the new technology promises a significantly better screen. Meanwhile, the M6 iMac is much closer to launch, with a release planned before the end of the year.
