Apple has unveiled HomeView, its first dedicated smart home hub, featuring a 7-inch touchscreen, built-in speakers, and a new Siri powered by Apple Intelligence.
Starting at $299, the device is available for pre-order today and will go on sale November 13.
Designed for kitchen counters, nightstands, and other shared spaces, HomeView can recognize different household members and automatically display their personal information without exposing it to everyone else.
HomeView recognizes who’s using it
HomeView features a 7-inch Liquid Retina display attached to a dome-shaped speaker base with an adjustable stainless steel hinge.
The screen supports True Tone and can dim to just 0.3 nits, making it suitable for a bedroom at night.

The device can recognize up to six people by face, giving each person a personalized Home Screen with their own widgets and apps.
Private information, including messages and calendar events, stays separate, while shared photos and music remain available to the household.
HomeView also adjusts what appears on the screen depending on how close you are. From across the room, it shows larger, simplified information. Step closer, and more detailed controls become available.
Siri AI brings more personal assistance to the home
With a compatible iPhone or iPad, HomeView can use Siri AI to retrieve information from Messages, check calendars, and handle requests across apps.

Conversations with Siri can sync between devices, while users can customize the assistant’s voice and speaking pace.
HomeView also supports FaceTime video calls with Center Stage, keeping participants in the frame as they move around.
In the kitchen, it can turn online recipes into step-by-step instructions, track ingredients, and manage cooking timers hands-free.

For smart home control, a dedicated Home Camera face can display up to nine live camera feeds at once.
Other display options include a customizable Home Modular face, a Photos face, and an animated Snoopy face that changes with the time of day and weather.
Two designs, with availability starting November 13
The tabletop HomeView features two full-range drivers, a down-firing woofer, and passive radiators designed to deliver Spatial Audio. It also supports multiroom playback and Handoff, allowing you to transfer audio from an iPhone.
Apple is offering the tabletop model in silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray. A separate wall-mounted version features speakers tuned for wall placement and comes in silver or space gray.
HomeView starts at $299, with pre-orders open now and availability beginning November 13. The device won’t launch in the European Union initially.
