Apple may be finished with its big September event, but its 2026 hardware launches aren’t over yet.
As many as seven more products are expected before the end of the year, including new Macs, an OLED iPad mini and Apple’s long-awaited smart home display. October is shaping up as the most likely month for at least some of them.
One launch is already on the calendar. The iPhone Duo goes up for preorder October 16 and arrives October 23, giving Apple a busy stretch even before it announces any additional hardware.
Apple’s Home Hub could finally arrive
The biggest completely new product expected this fall is Apple’s Home Hub, a dedicated smart home display that’s been in development for years.
The device is expected to use a square display measuring roughly six to seven inches and run a new operating system built around widgets, clock faces, Apple services, and smart home controls. Siri AI will play a central role, with an A18-class chip or newer to support Apple Intelligence.
Apple has developed two versions: a tabletop model with a speaker base and another designed to mount on a wall. Both are expected to support FaceTime and act as control centers for connected home accessories.
The latest reporting points to a launch as soon as October, after earlier plans were delayed while Apple finished the new Siri.
New MacBook Pros could bring OLED and touchscreens
Apple is also preparing a major MacBook Pro redesign, with new 14-inch and 16-inch models expected to move from mini-LED to OLED displays.
The new screens are also expected to support touch input, marking the first time Apple has put a touchscreen on a Mac. A thinner chassis and a smaller Dynamic Island-style camera cutout are also rumored.
The higher-end models are expected to use M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
Apple is separately preparing a 14-inch MacBook Pro with the newer M6 chip as its base configuration, creating an unusual split in which the entry model moves to a newer chip generation while the more powerful machines continue using higher-tier M5 processors.
OLED could also come to the iPad mini
The iPad mini is expected to get its biggest display upgrade in years with a move to OLED.
Apple is also reportedly considering an A19 Pro or A20 Pro chip, improved water resistance and a redesigned speaker system that removes the visible speaker holes from the enclosure.
The basic size and compact form factor aren’t expected to change substantially.
iMac, Apple TV and HomePod mini are due for updates
Three more familiar products could round out Apple’s fall releases.
The 24-inch iMac is expected to move to the M6 chip, with new color options potentially accompanying the processor upgrade.
Apple TV and HomePod mini are both expected to receive internal upgrades rather than major redesigns. New chips should bring support for Apple’s latest Siri capabilities, while the N1 wireless chip would add Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
Neither product is expected to look substantially different from the versions Apple sells today.
Apple has introduced new hardware in October for each of the past five years, sometimes through a dedicated event and other times through press releases.
Last year, the company skipped a full event and announced the M5 MacBook Pro, M5 iPad Pro and updated Vision Pro through press releases. Apple hasn’t said how it plans to handle this year’s remaining launches.
