If you’re the person who always ends up planning the group trip, coordinating the family potluck, or organizing the weekend getaway, Apple might’ve just made your life a little easier.
And no, it’s not Calendar or Reminders this time. I’m talking about Apple Invites. Yes, that app.
The Apple Invites app, which debuted earlier this year, has mostly flown under the radar. Until now, it’s been a clean and minimal way to send out event invites, but it didn’t offer much beyond that.
That changed today with Apple’s latest App Store update (version 1.2), which introduced something small but incredibly handy: links.

When you create an event, you can embed live links, such as a Google Sheet for potluck sign-ups, a hotel booking page for your weekend getaway, or even a wishlist for a birthday party, right inside your invite.
You get a title, a short description, and the ability to add multiple tiles, which makes organizing group events feel more like building a mini dashboard than sending a text.
It’s simple, elegant, and best of all, it keeps everything in one place.

Before this update, Apple Invites only supported native integrations like shared Apple Music playlists or Photos albums.
That was neat but limiting. Now, you’re free to plug in anything with a URL, with no workarounds or chasing links buried in chat threads.
This is a perfect example of Apple refining the everyday experience in a way that makes sense. For those fully invested in the ecosystem, it’s a seamless upgrade that replaces clutter with convenience.
So, if you’ve ignored Apple Invites until now, it might be time to give them another look, especially if you’re the one in your group who always ends up doing the planning.
