Leaving a comment or review on the App Store is a great way to share your thoughts and experiences with other users.
However, sometimes, the nickname displayed alongside your review might not be what you want it to be.
And some people have unfortunately used their real name, which is a big no-no if you’re concerned about your online privacy and security
Fortunately, changing the name you use to leave reviews on Apple’s App Store is quick and easy, provided you know the steps. Here’s how you can do it.
Note: Currently, you can only change your App Store review name using a computer (Mac or Windows PC). Apple doesn’t allow changes directly on your iPhone.
Changing Your App Store Review Name on a Mac
Follow these steps to change your nickname on the App Store using a Mac.
1. Launch the App Store on your Mac.

2. Click on your name at the bottom of the sidebar on the left-hand side of the App Store window.

3. You might need to sign in with your Apple ID. If prompted, do so.

4. Once in your account, click “Account Settings” from the upper-right corner of the account page.

5. Scroll down to the “Manage” section. Here, you’ll find your current nickname displayed. Click on the “Edit Nickname” button next to your nickname.

6. Enter your desired nickname and click “Submit” to save the changes.

Your nickname will now be updated and appear differently when you leave comments or reviews on apps in the App Store.
Bottom Line
Keep in mind that Apple doesn’t offer true anonymity for reviews. While you can use a nickname, it’s still connected to your Apple ID.
So, be mindful of the type of comments you leave in the App Store. Avoid profanity, threats, or other offensive language you wouldn’t want associated with your name.
