Apple is heading into one of its most product-dense months in recent memory, with eight devices set to reach customers before the end of September 2026, including the company’s first foldable iPhone.
Two of those products are already confirmed and available to order. Apple announced a redesigned Mac mini starting at $899 with M6 and M5 Pro chip options, and a new Mac Studio starting at $2,499 with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, both shipping September 22.
The remaining six are expected to be unveiled at Apple’s fall event on September 9, which the company is billing under the tagline “Surprise and shine.”
The foldable arrives
The most consequential announcement expected at the September 9 event is Apple’s first foldable device, widely anticipated to be called iPhone Ultra.
The phone is said to have a roughly 5.5-inch display when folded and a 7.8-inch display when open, with a thin profile, minimal crease, and a durable hinge.
Questions have circulated about whether it would actually ship in September or slip into October, but Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said this week he would be “very surprised” if the foldable did not arrive alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models or close to it. “Either on the same launch date, a dual launch, or coming out within weeks later. This idea of a late October, November launch, massive delays, supply chain issues, I don’t believe to be the case,” he said.
The rest of the iPhone lineup
Joining the foldable at the event are the iPhone 18 Pro, which is expected to feature a smaller Dynamic Island and Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max, rumored to feature an exclusive camera upgrade and a larger battery.
Notably absent from this fall’s lineup are a standard iPhone 18, an iPhone 18e, and an iPhone Air 2, all of which are reportedly being pushed to spring 2027. This year’s September release focuses entirely on the higher-priced tier.
Watches and AirPods round out the month
Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 are both expected at the event, each receiving the new S12 chip and fitness tracking improvements, though neither is anticipated to bring significant design changes compared to the current generation.
Apple is not planning an Apple Watch SE update this year. AirPods 5 are also in the pipeline, with references to unreleased models surfacing in macOS 26.7 code ahead of a launch expected to coincide with the new iPhones.
