Apple’s latest Mac software is offering an unusually detailed look at the company’s hardware pipeline.

The release candidate of macOS Tahoe 26.7, released Monday, includes references to more than a dozen unreleased devices spanning the iPhone, Mac, iPad, AirPods and smart-home businesses.

The list stretches from products expected at Apple’s September launch through hardware planned for 2027. Taken together, the references provide fresh confirmation of Apple’s near-term roadmap, including a smaller iPhone lineup this fall and a broader push into home hardware.

Three new iPhones for September

The clearest references concern this year’s iPhones. V63 and V64 correspond to the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, while V68 has been linked to Apple’s first foldable model, expected to carry the iPhone Ultra name. Those three devices are expected to make up Apple’s new September lineup.

The software also contains references to V62, the second-generation iPhone Air, and V67, the standard iPhone 18. Both are currently slated for 2027 as Apple moves away from introducing its entire iPhone lineup at once.

That strategy would give the Pro models and foldable iPhone the fall launch window largely to themselves, with the lower-priced models following later.

A bigger bet on the home

Apple’s home hardware plans are also well represented. Two devices, J490 and J491, appear to be versions of the company’s long-in-development smart home hub.

One is designed to sit on a base, while the other can be mounted to a wall. References to Siri setup appear alongside both models.

The operating system for those products is referred to internally as “Pebble,” a name Bloomberg has previously reported.

Another device, J229, is less clear. It first surfaced in Apple software last year and appears capable of capturing images and recognizing sounds such as alarms. That combination would make sense for a home security camera or sensor designed to work alongside the hub.

Apple is separately developing a new HomePod mini, identified as B525, and its more ambitious tabletop robot, J595.

Camera-equipped AirPods move closer

The most revealing AirPods reference is unusually specific. A string associated with B790 says: “B790 start image stream failed for left bud.”

B790 is a camera-equipped AirPods project that Bloomberg has previously reported could arrive as soon as September. The cameras are expected to provide the earbuds with visual context, enabling features such as Visual Intelligence to recognize objects around the wearer.

A second project, B798, is planned for 2027. Apple also appears to be preparing another generation of AirPods Pro. The software includes an AirPodsPro1,4 identifier, following AirPodsPro1,3 for the current third-generation model.

M6 Macs and an OLED iPad mini

The Mac references extend further into Apple’s roadmap. J804 corresponds to an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro built around the M6 processor.

J833 and J834 appear to be upcoming iMacs, while four other identifiers, K114c, K114s, K116c and K116s, may represent higher-end MacBook Pros with OLED displays.

The next iPad mini is listed as J510 and J511. That model is expected to move to an OLED screen and use an A19 Pro processor.

Not everything referenced in macOS Tahoe 26.7 is likely to appear at the same time. Apple is expected to focus its September event on the iPhone 18 Pro models and the foldable iPhone, while some Macs and iPads could arrive later in the fall or next year.

The breadth of the references is notable, though. They span not only routine updates to Apple’s biggest products but also newer categories the company has spent years developing, particularly foldable devices, camera-equipped AirPods, and a new generation of home hardware.
