Apple’s $250 million settlement over Siri’s delayed AI features is now open for claims, and eligible iPhone owners can file for payment from September 21 through December 21 at the official settlement website.
The baseline payout is $25 per eligible device, though that figure could climb as high as $95 if fewer people file than expected.
Anyone who purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, or iPhone 16 Pro Max in the United States for personal use between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, may qualify.
The lawsuit stems from Apple’s June 2024 preview of advanced Siri capabilities tied to Apple Intelligence.
At the time, Apple demonstrated features like on-screen context awareness and Siri’s ability to pull details from apps like Mail and Messages.
In March 2025, Apple quietly postponed those personalized Siri features, triggering a class action lawsuit alleging the company had engaged in false advertising.
Apple’s Position
Apple denies all allegations and did not admit wrongdoing. The company said it agreed to settle in order to stay focused on “delivering the most innovative products and services” rather than absorb the costs and uncertainty of a trial.
Apple also pointed to other Apple Intelligence features it had already shipped when it announced the personalized Siri delay.
The features at the center of the dispute have since arrived. Apple unveiled Siri AI at WWDC 2026 in June, and it became available with iOS 27 last week.
The rollout is limited to iPhone 15 Pro models and newer, and the feature is still in beta, even though iOS 27 is a final release. Access also requires joining a waitlist.
How to File
Eligible customers should receive an email with a claim ID and PIN code in the coming days, though the settlement site allows submissions without that information.
The claims form requests personal details along with the iPhone’s serial number. If the serial number isn’t available, filers can provide their Apple Account email address and the device’s phone number instead.
Filing a claim does not mean a check arrives soon. A final approval hearing is scheduled for February 24, 2027, meaning payments are unlikely to go out until sometime next year.
