Apple’s iPhone Phone app is getting a feature in iOS 27 that automatically pulls your reservation confirmation codes and booking details onto the call screen the moment you dial a business, without any action required from you.
Called Call Context, the feature scans your Mail app in the background when you place a call. If you ring an airline, hotel, or any business with a matching email in your inbox, the relevant confirmation number appears directly on the call screen.
You can also tap to have Siri read the code aloud, which means no speakerphone juggling while scrolling through old emails.
Apple describes the feature on its iOS 27 page as one that “can proactively surface relevant information from across your apps when calling a business.”
When multiple reservations match a single business, Call Context stacks them below the primary result, keeping the most likely match at the top.
Apple says everything stays on your iPhone
All of this runs on-device. Apple says it does not send call data or personal information to any outside server or third party.
The system decides what to surface based on the number you are dialing, not on anything you say during the conversation. For people cautious about AI tools accessing their personal communications, that distinction matters.
Call Context is part of the Apple Intelligence platform arriving this fall alongside iOS 27. It also connects to third-party apps, not just Apple’s own Mail, meaning booking confirmations from travel apps or other services stored in your inbox should surface as well.
Which iPhones support it
The feature requires an Apple Intelligence-compatible device, which means iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max at minimum, along with the iPhone 16 lineup and any newer models.
Compatible iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch models are also supported. At launch, Call Context will only work in English, with no announced timeline for other languages.
iOS 27 is currently available as a public beta. Apple typically ships its major software updates in September alongside new iPhone hardware, so a broad rollout is expected around that window.
Call Context joins two other Phone app additions introduced in iOS 26, Call Screening and Hold Assist, as part of what amounts to Apple’s most significant overhaul of the Phone app in years.
