If you enter your passcode wrong too many times, or your iPhone is disabled, you are locked out of your iPhone until you restore it. This article will show you how to reset your iPhone when you forgot your password.

You’ll be required to erase your device, which deletes all of your data and settings, after which you can restore the contents from a backup.

So, we hope that you had a recent backup of your iPhone. That’s why it’s so critical to regularly back up your iPhone because of situations like this.

Ways to Reset iPhone Without Password

The methods that we are about to show you depend on what version of iOS you’re running on your iPhone.

For iPhone running an iOS version earlier than iOS 15.2, you’ll need to connect it to a Mac or PC to restore it from a backup.

If the iPhone is running iOS 15.2 or later, a computer won’t be necessary to reset it. You can reset your iPhone from the lock screen.

You’ll get an option to erase it after you’ve failed to enter the correct password several times, and you’ll be able to restore from an iCloud backup.

The series of steps below outline the actions you need to take in both cases.
