Apple Card is transitioning to Chase as its banking partner. Before that happens, though, Apple has added several new features and travel perks that give existing cardholders a few more reasons to keep using it.
Recurring transactions come to iOS 27
One of the more useful additions arrives with iOS 27: a dedicated Recurring hub in the Wallet app.
Open your Apple Card and tap the three-dot menu to find it. You’ll see upcoming subscriptions and recurring charges, along with their expected dates and amounts. A monthly calendar view also shows when those charges are due.
iOS 27 is currently available to developers and public beta testers, with a wider release expected next month.
Booking.com adds a new travel perk
Apple has also expanded its travel benefits through Booking.com and Hertz. With Booking.com, Apple Card users can now get Genius Level 2 status after a single qualifying stay or car rental.
That brings 10% to 15% discounts on select stays and car rentals, along with perks such as free breakfast and room upgrades. Eligible Booking.com purchases also earn 3% Daily Cash when paid with Apple Card and Apple Pay.
The Hertz partnership announced last year remains in place. It includes free emergency roadside service, a free additional driver at pickup, loss damage waiver coverage for $16.95 per day, and at least 5% off Pay Later base rates. Hertz rentals also earn 3% Daily Cash.
Apple Card Savings reaches the web
Managing Apple Card has traditionally meant reaching for an iPhone. Apple started changing that in May by adding web access for the Apple Card Savings Account.
You can now view and manage the savings balance from a browser instead of relying on the Wallet app.
Chase is still coming
All of this comes as Apple prepares to move Apple Card from Goldman Sachs to Chase. Apple and Chase announced the deal in January, with the transition expected to take about 24 months.
For now, Apple Card continues to work as usual, and Apple says users will receive more information as the transition approaches. Exactly how the card will change under Chase remains to be seen.
