Apple has opened its Get Ready pre-order tool for the iPhone Duo, letting customers prepare their purchase ahead of Friday’s launch.
If you’re planning to buy Apple’s first foldable iPhone, completing the setup now could save you valuable time when pre-orders begin.
Pre-orders open Friday, October 16, at 5 a.m. Pacific (8 a.m. Eastern), with the iPhone Duo officially going on sale October 23.
How to get ready for iPhone Duo pre-orders
Apple’s Get Ready tool is available through the Apple Store website and the Apple Store app. It lets you choose your preferred color and storage capacity, confirm carrier details, and arrange payment and shipping before pre-orders begin.
You can also select accessories, add AppleCare+ coverage, and set up a trade-in if you’re replacing an older iPhone.
Once you’ve completed the process, your selections will be saved, allowing you to finish your purchase with a single tap when pre-orders open Friday morning.

Shipping estimates for popular iPhone configurations can slip shortly after pre-orders open, especially during a major product launch.
Get Ready won’t reserve an iPhone Duo, but it saves you from entering payment details or choosing a configuration while other shoppers are checking out.
Apple’s first foldable iPhone starts at $1,999
The iPhone Duo features a 5.4-inch outer display that opens into a larger 7.6-inch screen, giving users a tablet-like experience in a foldable design.
Its inner display features a matte nano-texture finish designed to reduce glare and make the center crease less noticeable.
The camera system includes a 48-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide, and separate front-facing cameras for the outer and inner displays.
Pricing starts at $1,999 for 256GB of storage. If you’re purchasing through Apple’s Veterans and Military store, you won’t have access to Get Ready, so you’ll need to complete checkout when pre-orders officially open on October 16.
