Apple pushed out second betas of watchOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2, and visionOS 27.2 this week, continuing its testing cycle for the .2 software updates that are expected to arrive later this fall.
Registered developers can download the builds directly through the Settings app on each respective device.
Health App Overhaul in Testing
The most substantive change under examination in watchOS 27.2 is the redesigned Health app that Apple previewed at its September iPhone event.
Working alongside iOS 27.2, the updated app introduces two new tabs: Insights and Longevity.
Both center on a readiness score that draws on sensor data from the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, which Apple began shipping alongside the new iPhone 18 lineup earlier this month.
The readiness score is designed to give users a consolidated picture of their physical state each day, pulling together sleep, activity, and heart data into a single metric.
For owners of the new Apple Watch models, it represents one of the more practical reasons to upgrade beyond the hardware itself.
Apple TV and Vision Pro Updates Still Unclear
Apple has not detailed the changes included in the tvOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2 betas, but the tvOS update arrives as the company prepares to release a new Apple TV 4K before the end of the year.
The new streamer is set to bring an A19 or A19 Pro chip, potentially doubling or tripling RAM from the 4GB found in the current 2022 model to 8GB or 12GB. Apple Intelligence is also expected to be included.
The second betas follow the first round, released about a week ago. Apple has not announced a release date for the finished 27.2 updates.
