Siri AI is gaining the ability to handle more everyday tasks on your iPhone, from unsubscribing to unwanted emails to organizing files and managing Safari tabs.
The first iOS 27.3 developer beta expands Siri AI’s capabilities across 15 built-in Apple apps, including Mail, Calendar, Files, Maps, Messages, Music, Notes, Photos, Reminders, Safari, and Weather.
Users can also ask Siri what it can do inside a supported app to discover available commands.
Siri Can Now Handle More Tasks Inside Apps
Several additions address tasks that previously required navigating through menus or performing multiple steps manually.
Here are some of the new capabilities:
- Mail: Unsubscribe from mailing lists or undo a recently sent email.
- Safari: Clear browsing history, organize tabs and windows, close duplicate tabs, or save articles to Reading List.
- Files: Organize documents and delete files that haven’t been opened within a specified period.
- Weather: Add locations to your watch list or manage weather notifications.
These improvements make Siri more useful for routine tasks that don’t necessarily require opening an app and navigating its interface.
Third-Party Apps Can Build Their Own Siri AI Actions
One of the more significant changes in iOS 27.3 is the expansion of Siri AI support to third-party developers through App Intents.
A new Developer Preview allows developers to create custom actions that Siri can execute directly within their apps.
Apple is also introducing skills that let developers combine several actions into a single voice request.
For example, an app could potentially support a command that performs multiple related tasks without requiring users to complete each step separately.
How useful this becomes will depend on which developers adopt the framework and what capabilities they make available.
Siri AI Adds Four More Languages
Apple is expanding Siri AI’s language support with four additions:
- Traditional Chinese
- Vietnamese
- Turkish
- Norwegian
The expansion follows iOS 27.2, which introduced conversation memory and other improvements to Apple’s AI assistant.
iOS 27.3 remains in developer beta, with no confirmed public release date. More features and refinements could arrive as testing continues.
