Do you wonder how to share Wi-Fi password from iPhone to iPhone?
Unfortunately iOS doesn’t let you see the password of the Wi-Fi you’re connected to.
And that’s super annoying.
If you don’t know your Wi-Fi password, you’ll have to look at the back of your rooter anytime you want to share it with someone. With iOS 11, Apple has made it easy to share Wi-Fi passwords between Apple devices by bringing them near each other. There’s no need to reveal your password, or type a 20-character Wi-Fi password into your friend devices.
Keep in mind this feature only works between iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod) running iOS 11 or newer and Macs running macOS High Sierra or later. For the sake of this tutorial, we’ll focus on iPhones only. This feature won’t work if your friend has an Android Phone or an iPhone running iOS 10 or earlier.
In this article, you’ll learn how to share Wi-Fi passwords on an iPhone so you can help your friends and family connect to your Wi-Fi network.
How to share a Wi-Fi password on iPhone
Note: Both devices need to be close to each other and have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on. You must have one another in each other’s Contacts list.
Make sure your iPhone is connected to the Wi-Fi your friend wants to connect to. Have your friend bring his or her phone close to your phone. Go to his or her Phone “Settings”, tap “Wi-Fi”, then join your Wi-Fi network.
