Apple released the third developer betas of watchOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2, and visionOS 27.2 two weeks after releasing beta 2.
The releases arrive alongside iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, and macOS Golden Gate 27.2 beta 3, moving Apple’s next round of software updates another step closer to their expected public release later this month.
Registered developers can download the latest betas through the software update settings on supported devices.
watchOS 27.2 brings new health features
Most of the visible changes so far are tied to the Apple Watch.
Apple is preparing a new Readiness score for the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 that uses health and activity data to provide a personalized assessment of how prepared your body is for exercise and recovery.
The feature accompanies the redesigned Health experience coming with Apple’s 27.2 software update, which introduces new Insights and Longevity sections for viewing health data and longer-term trends.
watchOS 27.2 also restores quicker access to the app switcher after Apple reassigned the previous Digital Crown shortcut to Siri Live Rewind in watchOS 27.
While inside an app, users can now long-press near the bottom of the display to bring up the app switcher, providing another way to move between recently used apps.
tvOS and visionOS remain quieter
The tvOS 27.2 beta is laying the groundwork for Apple Intelligence on the upcoming fourth-generation Apple TV 4K. visionOS 27.2 remains a smaller update so far, with the latest beta focused on refinements rather than major new features.
Apple hasn’t announced release dates for the 27.2 updates, though all three are expected later this month.
