If you’re deep in the Apple ecosystem like I am, you already know how smooth everything feels: Messages on your Mac, AirDrop to your iPad, and yes, that satisfying click when your AirPods connect.
But there’s one underrated combo that’s quietly changed how I manage my life: using Apple Notes inside Reminders to supercharge recurring tasks.
Let’s say you’ve got something you need to do every month—maybe send an invoice, change the HVAC filter, or do a deep clean of your iPhone’s photo library, like your blurry screenshots.
Most of us would set a recurring reminder and hope we remember the details. But instead of just setting the reminder, attach a Note with all the info you need—checklist, instructions, even links or images.
Now you no longer need to wonder how to do it because it’s right there, built in.
It’s simple:
1. Open your Notes app, write what you need—say, “Monthly Expense Report” with a breakdown of steps.

2. Tap the share icon, choose “Reminders,” and set it to recur monthly. That’s it. Now every month, you’ll get pinged with not just the task, but the how-to as well.

Here’s another handy shortcut: while the note is open, just say, “Hey Siri, remind me about this in five days.”

Siri will automatically link that exact note into your Reminders app, no taps needed. It’s so seamless, you’ll feel like you’re living in the future.
This might sound basic, but it’s a game-changer once you start using it. It’s like turning your reminders into smart little assistants.
And because it’s all native, no third-party apps involved, it’s buttery smooth across all your Apple devices.
Give it a try and see how much smoother things run. Got a smart Notes and Reminders trick of your own? Share it in the comments. I’d love to hear it.
Ok that is one of the most useful iPhone tips in a long time.

Another great trick is linking Apple Notes to another Apple Note.
Just type >>note_name
Of the note exists, it will be linked. If it doesn’t exist, it will be created and linked.
I just saved your trick to a note to remind me to use it. Thanks, that’s a good one.
