If you thought Apple was done stretching the “Ultra” label, think again. According to a fresh report, the company has two more products lined up under that premium banner, and one of them is something Apple fans have been waiting years to see.

Apple’s long-rumored foldable phone will apparently land as the iPhone Ultra, not under the iPhone 18 family name.

Sources familiar with Apple’s plans say the device is expected to arrive around the same time as the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, though a slight delay of a few weeks is possible, and early stock could be limited.

Think of how the iPhone Air sits outside the iPhone 17 series, and you get the idea of how Apple plans to position this one.

The second Ultra product is shaping up to be even more interesting for laptop fans. A MacBook Ultra is reportedly in development, featuring both an OLED display and a touchscreen, which would put it well above the MacBook Pro in both capability and price.

Originally targeted for a late 2026 launch, memory supply chain issues have pushed the timeline into early 2027.

Why “Ultra” Keeps Showing Up Everywhere

Apple already uses the Ultra name across several product lines, including its M-series Ultra chips, the Apple Watch Ultra, and CarPlay Ultra.

A previous report suggests that Apple could extend the label even further, with AirPods Ultra potentially joining the lineup.

So if you are sensing a pattern here, you are not imagining it. Ultra is becoming Apple’s shorthand for “the best we make, at a price to match.”

For shoppers who have been waiting to see where Apple’s foldable ambitions actually land, the iPhone Ultra branding adds a layer of clarity.

It will be its own category entirely, separate from the numbered lineup, which suggests Apple wants buyers to see it as something genuinely new rather than just another Pro upgrade.

Whether the MacBook Ultra lands before or after the new year, both products will force a serious conversation about just how much “Ultra” is worth paying for.
